Supervision

Supervision

To me supervision is a lifeline. It is a time where I can discuss my client work in a safe and confidential space. It is a time to discuss any issues that may have come up for me in my practice and to access support for myself.

As a supervisor I aim to offer this safe space too. Whilst supervision is an ethical requirement, my hope would be that it would be an opportunity to reflect on your client work and to deepen the relationship with your clients. It is a two-way process where we are both learning together about you and your work.

I have experience in supervising students on Persona Post Grad Accredited Counselling Diploma, Edinburgh University Post Graduate Diploma, Strathclyde University Post Graduate Diploma, Aberdeen University and Chrysalis Diploma Counselling course.

Working with students is always exciting. There are often a lot of discussions around theory, readiness to practice, placement work, essays and course work. It is a real privilege to be part of someone’s journey as they progress from student to qualified counsellor.

I have experience in supervising:

• Trainee Counsellors
• Qualified Counsellors
• Support Workers
• Project Workers
• Groups of Student Counsellors
• Counsellors working within the NHS

An hour’s supervision with me will cost you £60.
Trainee counsellors £50

I also offer a service where I can support you as you set up a private practice. You can find out more about this service here
