I have been a practising supervisor since January 2008. I qualified in 2009 and gained my Certificate in Supervision with PCT Britain, which was facilitated by Elke Lambers and Alison Shoemark.

I have experience of supervising:-

Trainee Counsellors

Qualified Counsellors

Support Workers

Project Workers

Groups of Student Counsellors

Counsellors working within the NHS

I developed and set up a counselling service within CHANGES, Community Mental Health

Project in Musselburgh. My job there was to recruit, mentor and support students in their development to become qualified counsellors. All of the students I mentored and

supported are now working as counsellors in paid employment.

I have a great deal of experience of the issues that are likely to come up for students on placement and in training.

I have experience of facilitating group supervision. I supervised students at CHANGES every

six weeks for a two and a half hour session. This was an exciting role for me and one where

I saw great learning and support taking place amongst the participants.

Whilst supervision is an ethical requirement, my hope would be that you would find

supervision with me a safe space to reflect on your work and to bring along any of the issues that are around for you in your work as a counsellor.

Supervision for me is a two way process where we are both learning together about your

work, not only with your clients but with yourself.

An hour's supervision with me will cost £40. Should you wish to find out more please do not hesitate to get in touch.
